Dude, I'm still awake. It's like 11 PM but I literally cannot stop thinking about Meteorfall Odyssey. My brain is still buzzing from it.
Remember that description someone gave us? "Meteors are raining, money is falling! Dodge destruction, get rich!" Man, that was SO wrong. It's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings." Like, technically true, but completely misses the point. It's not about dodging meteors at all, lol.
When I first started playing, I was so confused. I was like, wait, this isn't what I thought. It's actually, like, a card game? But not a boring one. You pick a hero, and then you get these cards and you go on these little adventures, fighting weird monsters and stuff. And you get new cards as you go, and you gotta decide which ones to keep and which to get rid of.
The first time, I just picked random cards and got totally wiped out. I was like, "This is dumb." But then I tried again, and I started to see how it works. Like, if you pick certain cards, they work really well together, and you can make these super powerful turns. I remember this one time, I got this combo that just melted a boss I'd been stuck on, and I literally yelled "YES!" It was such a good feeling, like I actually figured something out.
Honestly, I don't usually play these kinda games, like, where you build up a deck or whatever. But this one just clicked. It's so easy to pick up, but then it gets really deep. And the art style is really cool, kinda simple but really charming. There's this little sound effect when you do a lot of damage, it's like a satisfying *thwack*.
I started playing at like 7:30, looked up and it was almost 11. Your gonna lose track of time for sure. Because it's just so fun. Really, really fun. I already told Sarah she has to try it. Seriously, if you want something that makes you think a little but isn't super stressful, this is it. You'll actually want to keep playing.
